Semen Padang
<shortcode class="bb-shortcode"> PT Semen Padang is the first cement manufacturing company in Indonesia. Initially founded on March 18, 1910 under the name NV Nederlandsch Indische Portland Cement Maatschappij (NV NIPCM). Then on July 5, 1958, the company was nationalized by the government of the Republic of Indonesia from the Dutch government.
In 1995, the government transferred its share ownership in PT Semen Padang to PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk which has transformed into a strategic holding PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk with 99.99% share ownership. PT Semen Padang operates an integrated cement factory with a capacity of 8 million tonnes/year in Indarung, West Sumatra. PT Semen Padang has eight cement packing plants, namely in Teluk Bayur, Belawan, Batam, Tanjung Priok, Ciwandan, Malahayati, Lhokseumawe and the Lampung packing plant and has 14 buffer warehouses and one port.
