Entering its 11th Anniversary, SIG Committed to Strengthening Innovation & Collaboration to Create the Excellence

The 11 years journey of transformation has brought PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) to show its capabilities as a BUMN and leader of the building materials industry in Indonesia. As a holding company that manages famous manufacturers of materials & building solution services, SIG continues to create added value which results in recognition and awards from the government and other institutions at national and international levels.

Speaking from the SIG Head Office in South Quarter, Jakarta, SIG President Director Donny Arsal underlined the cement market conditions in the future which are still very challenging. "Entering its 11^th year, marks a new period in the Company's transformation journey in 2024. As a market leader, SIG has the ambition to move to the next level with an extra-miles spirit in synergy, collaboration, as well as increasing insight and expertise to maintain dominance both in the domestic and regionally," said Donny.

Donny Arsal added that the theme "Strive The Extra Miles" reflects the enthusiasm of all management and employees, to increase competence and excellence through ideas, initiatives and strategic plans which are implemented through new (innovative) ways in synergy and collaboration, so that they can go further and win the competition.

"SIG has succeeded in passing 2023 in industrial conditions which are still under pressure from rising commodity prices, energy costs and inflation, as well as intense market competition. However, through synergy, optimization and sustainable efficiency programs, SIG was able to get through this with positive performance. We will continue this positive performance in 2024 by increasing the Company's resilience and competitiveness to continue to provide optimal benefits for shareholders, customers and stakeholders, as well as contributing to realizing sustainable development," said Donny.

In line with Donny, SIG President Commissioner, Budi Waseso also invited management and all employees to continue the spirit of innovation and synergy, so that SIG is always ready to face every challenge and always be at the forefront. “Our challenges ahead are not easy. "Because of that, we must innovate, synergize and continue to be enthusiastic about building SIG for Indonesia," said Budi Waseso.

In the series of celebrations for its 11th anniversary, SIG awarded the SIG Group Innovation Awards for employees who innovate, as well as other activities such as the SIG XTRAMILES Photo Competition which was open to the public. The Company also gave Work Loyalty Awards to 361 employees as appreciation for the years of service of employees who have worked 10 years, 15 years, 20 years and 30 years.
